As a good friend recently said to me, “Out with the pumpkin and in with the cranberries!” Admittedly, pumpkin and cranberry enjoy some serious overlap, peaking on Thanksgiving. However, after Thanksgiving, it feels appropriate to begin cutting back on our pumpkin muffins and focusing more on the flavors of cranberry, gingerbread, and peppermint.
Now is the time, folks. And in the spirit of Christmas festivity, I taste-tested two different cranberry biscotti recipes. Today, I bring to you the first of these, Cranberry Orange Biscotti with White Chocolate Drizzles!
Souvenirs don’t really get enough attention, do they? A little souvenir is such a nice way to share your trip with the people who didn’t get to join you!
My inlaws recently took a trip to northern Michigan to visit family, and we weren’t able to join them, but they brought us back a bag of treats including some traditional Michigan goodies like a dried cherry snack mix (jackpot!!) and this adorable tiny pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter!
I know, I know. It seems like the only things I make are baked goods. Sorry I’m not sorry. I like baking, and I’ve found baked goods to be the easiest to photograph. So… there we are.
Obviously, you’re not a respectable person entering the month of October if you don’t have a basic pumpkin cookie recipe handy. Certainly, you may not have a hundred variations at the ready, but you can’t possibly take yourself seriously if you don’t have a basic pumpkin cookie! Come on.
