So it’s been a whole week since we’ve shared a recipe. I think we were getting a little carried away with our daily posts a couple weeks ago. Let’s just relax and enjoy some broccoli with peanut sauce.
In an act of desperation and in a display of my addiction to accruing “visitors” and “views” on my secret food blog, I’ve decided to increase my end of April posting frequency in an attempt to see an increase in traffic compared to March. (How exciting for my five followers!) I’m not proud of this, but I can’t resist.
So, you lucky dogs, today that means I’m bringing you a recipe for Lemon-Garlic Roasted Broccoli.
I wish I loved vegetables. It’s such a bummer than they’re basically the only foods that are indisputably healthy. No matter what other food you’re talking about, someone will come up with some evidence that you shouldn’t eat it. Meat? Dairy? Even complex carbs get a bad rap from some researchers. It leaves us with just … vegetables.
So… It’s January. As everyone knows, that means we’re supposed to pretend that we’re going to make sudden and major sweeping changes to become all-around better human beings. If you have decent friends, they’ll pretend that they believe these changes to be real and sustainable, and then in February they will tactfully “forget” that we ever made these commitments. So anyways, I’m going to follow protocol and eat something healthy. Hence, Sweet Potato Fries!
